…having previously served as a teacher in both elementary and middle school settings, Instructional Coach, Dean of Curriculum, and State Curriculum Specialist. She graduated from The University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and began working in the non-profit industry. She continued in her pursuit of learning, achieving high academic excellence earning a Master's degree in Education with a central focus on Curriculum and Instruction followed by a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She has served in many capacities and was awarded for her excellent work in the classroom with features in two nationally recognized books - Inquiring into the Common Core as well as the second edition of The Reflective Educator's Guide to Classroom Research. She is a transformational and servant leader with a passion for making an impact on student achievement and improving learning outcomes. In her role, her goal is to create a positive culture of professional growth, develop pathways aimed at implementing instructional strategies to increase academic achievement, provide effective professional development and training experiences, and utilize her ability to establish thriving connections to nurture and support teachers and leaders in both schools. Mrs. Haslem believes GLOBAL is a very special place and is thankful for the opportunity to be in service to others-ensuring all students receive a high quality well rounded education where teachers, students and their families thrive.
